On Thursday April 12th (weather
permitting), we are hosting our annual Spring Clean event in our school. From
11am-12.30pm, we intend to carry out a number of tasks some of which includes
the following: sweeping our car park and yards, planting flowers and bulbs,
maintaining our flower beds and window boxes, reviewing of our recycling bins,
sweeping our rooms and doing a general tidy up.
Here is how you can help,
1
Can you bring in a shovel and/or
yard brush? (please clearly label)
2
Can we borrow a watering
can/plastic buckets? (please clearly label)
3
Do you have litter-pickers that
we can borrow?
4
Do you have bulbs, flowers,
plants, seeds or compost that you would like to donate?
5
Have you spare bird-seed/bird
table?
6
Does your child have a hi-vis
jacket and/or gloves?
7
Please remember that you can
still recycle old/used batteries in your child’s classroom
These items can be dropped into the school on the
day of the clean up or prior to the event.
We look forward to participating in such an exciting event and we wish
to acknowledge and thank An Taisce.
Throughout this day children should wear their
school tracksuit, over which they should have a hi-visibility jacket/vest.
Please remember an additional layer of clothing, old runners/shoes, caps &
gloves may be required as many pupils will be working in the outdoors.
It is extremely important that you furnish your child’s
teacher with a note if your child has an allergy to any item/substance. This
information must be disclosed in
advance of our clean up to ensure the health and safety of all of our
pupils.
Your efforts and co-operation are very much
appreciated. We are certainly looking forward to participating in such an
exciting event – pictures of which will be made available on our website
(cregmorens.blogspot.com).
