We 'The Green- Schools Committee' would like to inform you of our school's 2nd water action day on Friday 24/2/2012.We will track and record the use of water throughout the whole school on this day. So every time you turn on the tap and flush the toilet and rinse out a paint tray -every single drop of water will be accounted for and added up to see how much we use on an average day. We hope that all our efforts to increase awareness and decrease water wastage will pay off. We expect the total amount of water used on friday 24/2/2012 will be alot less then 10/11/11 and 11/11/12 when it was discoverd that the school used 4,714 litres and on Thursday and 3,169 litres on Friday, with an average of 3,941 litres used each day!
We have been covering the water theme for the past two years now and we really hope to be successful in being awarded our THIRD Green Flag!!! :)
